Tuesday 11 February 2014 - Ko Mak -WARNING THIS BLOG MAY AFFECT YOUR EMOTIONAL HEALTH LOL

Busy start to the morning had to take my washing to the laundry, I could have had it back today but I said, no tomorrow was just fine.  Then went for am iced coffee as I missed them and hadn't had one, I think, since Bangkok.mmthen popped next door to buy the fruit for the monks and for my lunch.  The young woman with the beautiful baby in the crib remembered me from yesterday.  She is lovely and had very good English (I must learn more Thai before I return). She said that she knew of tourists that visited the Temple but had nevere known of tourists taking food to the monks.  I explained to her that I understood and she beamed her smile was lovely.  She said I have a good heart. Her mum takes sticky rice to the monks every day.  As I explained before, the monks rely on the community to feed them.  We had a chat about chikdren and now demanding they can be lol it was just like Home Start days lol but in Thailand.

I got to the temple but no monks around, so I left the fruit they will find if.  Went to see the flea ridden puppies.  One in particular was pleased to see me. They are so small, I just want to feed them but I know that is the way it is, I have to accept that.

 Put my fruit in Betsy Mae's boot and back to hotel to change.  Francesca told me about a lovely beach that you have to walk through the jingle too, so I thought I would give that a go.  A new couple have arrived, from England, they seem very pleasant but it's apparent they can't work me out - hey join the queue lol.  

So lunch of fruit packed we were off for our jungle adventure.  I had to make my way to the Happy Days Resort.  I knew where that was, how cool is that lol no need for a map.  However, to get to the resort I had to negotiate sand again.  Betsy Mae does not like sand.  Fortunately, Francesca had told me to wear good shoes, so I went really slow, with my feet on the ground to steady the bike lol.  I must admit lol I'm getting rather good on the bike lol.  I purchased two bottles of water and started to walk along the beach. After fifteen minutes there was a small path leading into the jungle lol.  So off I went, intrepid explorer that I am.  Then a crossroads - bugger lol left or right! I went left and walked and walked.  I convinced myself I was going the wrong way then eventually the jungle just opened up to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen.

The sign said it all - wow! I have never ever seen such a beautiful place. I thought Mexico and Australia had beautiful beaches but believe me they are nothing compared to this.

There were three other couples on the beach and me.  But we were so spread out it was as if you had the place to yourself.  The sea was as clear and blue as anything and you could walk out and it just didn't get deep.

 I found somewhere to put towel lol and then did my reiki on then beach,how great is that. Then I went for a swim, come out had some fruit. Oh I forgot to mention, three days ago I took off my watch.  I now sleep when I am tired, eat when I am hungry.  

The red fruit is a dragon fruit, it was very big lol.  I quite liked it, well I eat it lol.  The other fruits that I am I love with are mangosteens according to my friend in the fruit shop - they were so delicious.  What a view for a picnic - stunning.

  I then did my mediation on the beach, again how fab is that then swam some more.  I got chatting to a lovely couple from Denmark who asked if I wanted to borrow they snorkel stuff to look at the fish, how kind is that.  Note to self - get snorkel stuff before you travel again.

 

I can't explain to you how peaceful and how beautiful Turtle Beach is.  The peace of just hearing the birds and the tide washing ashore, absolutely priceless.  I really do hope this island stays just as perfect as it is.

So I packed up, reluctantly, I was the last one left lol and started my journey through the jungle again.  My trusty iPod was on random play - let the universe decide my playlist.  It started playing some Alanis Morrissette - now that is one angry woman lol. But shall we say .......... spirted lol.

So today's dance my friends lol was in the jungle to this.  Again, some lyrics changed to suit lol.

Tonight there was severe traffic problems on Ko Mak, Betsy Mae and I had to slow down and go around this obstacle lol.

Yes my friends lol that's as busy as it gets.  What a perfect, perfect day.  And I hear Stoke has snow.  I laughed and laughed and laughed.  

So my last day on Ko Mak tomorrow and I shall return to Turtle Beach.  Max from the hotel got my coach ticket today.  So Thursday it will be 10:30 speedboat OMG lol then pick up truck taxi to bus station for 13:00 bus to Bangkok.  I have heard from Daniel and we are meeting at Jenny's for nine.  I should be back at cozy hostel for 7:30pm.

So here I am eating my dinner.  I haved missed my curries the last few nights so making up for it tonight lol.  I'm the only one eating on my own but it's cool.  I people watch and as usual there are couples, sitting together not speaking lol.  I did get stared at by a bunch of Germans when I walked in lol.  So I just stared back and sweetly smiled.  I would rather be a one than a two and just making do.  Which leads nicely on to chorizo chops Lee who wanted me, as if I haven't got enough to do for myself lol, to find him a Thai girlfriend.  Lee my little cherub lol why would I want a beautiful woman to give up this paradise to come and live in Longton? Lol.  She would never cope - I barely cope myself living in Stoke most weeks lol - no we need to find you a nice local girl lol or a Spanish lady (Lee loves Spain and Spanish food)!  Until then remember lol we are both Virgos there is little hope lol so no bf and no gf we shall just muddle along my friend.

Just about sums it up my friends.  You thought I was 'different' before, trust me, I will be worse when I return.
